"The literary equivalent of an acid trip." -jedi_raptor07

It was the middle of the afternoon. The skies were clear, the wind warm, and the raccoons dead. From mutinous oak trees.

The oak trees decided to rebel against the raccoons six days ago. Whenever one climbed on them, they summoned a bolt of lightning to strike the raccoon down. Oftentimes, the oak tree would die with it, but they considered it worth the risk. The ones that didn't die are currently called "the stumps". Those that did were completely uprooted. The remaining trees are the only survivors of the raccoon massacre, as not only did houses collapse, but cities exploded and hills disappeared. The ONLY life remaining on this earth...were the non-Oak trees.

This leaves a lot of trees to rule the world. Unfortunately, trees have a rival: their roots. Their own roots began to take charge of the situation, threatening the trees through lack of water to do their bidding. Enormous root and tree battles took place, wars ensued, and soon the planet was devoid of all life.

Aliens came decades later. A race of raccoons, to be precise. When they found out about the trees, they blew up the planet.
